Screening Packages

Early vascular disease detection has great value – it can significantly reduce the risks of subsequent disability and death from vascular disease. Individuals with peripheral arterial disease (PAD) have four times the risk for heart attack than those without PAD.

$99 screening package includes evaluation for:

  • Carotid Artery Disease (Common cause of Stroke)
  • (AAA) Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm
  • (PAD) Peripheral Arterial Disease

These screening procedures are simple, painless and non-invasive.

YOU SHOULD BE SCREENED IF YOU HAVE:

Family History | High Blood Pressure | Ever Smoked | Diabetes | High Cholesterol | Heart Disease | Leg Cramps With Walking

Screening Information

Our screening program involves the following three, painless, noninvasive tests. Each screening is evaluated by a VSCF physician who specializes in vascular disease.

Patients receive their preliminary test results immediately following the scan from a registered vascular technologist.

Stroke/Carotid Artery Ultrasound Test

Some strokes are associated with blockages in the carotid arteries (neck arteries) that may be detected with a painless, noninvasive ultrasound.

Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm Test

An Abdominal aortic aneurysms (AAA) is an enlargement of the Aorta (the largest blood vessel in the body). Aneurysms have a risk of rupture which can be fatal.

Peripheral Arterial Disease (PAD) Test

Many adults over 65 years have leg cramps due to poor circulation. A simple blood pressure test can make this diagnosis of PAD, an indicator of possible heart disease.

50%

Once an aneurysm ruptures, 50% of those with the aneurysm die before they reach the hospital.
