The diagnostic services of Vascular Specialists of Central Florida provide state of the art vascular imaging in an ICAVL accredited vascular laboratory. All studies are performed by Registered Vascular Technologists and interpreted by our physicians. Our lab is equipped with the most advanced Philips iU22 ultrasound systems and noninvasive diagnostic modalities for the treatment of vascular disease. Ultrasound is a method of using sound waves to view arteries and veins within the body.
A typical study takes about 30 minutes to perform, and you may be asked to perform simple maneuvers, such as standing and walking. After your study is performed it will be interpreted by a physician and a report will be sent to your primary physician. Our lab is unique in that the high-quality imaging may often be used to determine an appropriate method of treatment, without further testing required. Our commitment to the highest standards insures that our laboratory brings you the very best imaging possible.
Lowering your blood pressure may decrease your risk of stroke and heart disease by about 50%.
